Kindergarten / Grade 1

Kindergarten and Grade 1 catechism students are introduced to the person of God and what it means to be a child of God. They will start to learn about prayer, the seasons of the Church year and some basic Catholic teachings. 

Grade 2

Grade 2 catechism students will be preparing for the sacrament of First Penance from October to January. Lessons will be every Wednesday evening starting October 13th. We will be alternating between in-person and virtual lessons.
Starting in February, bi-weekly lessons will be held in person.

Grade 3

 
Grade 3 catechism students fall under two categories :
 
  1. Students who have not  yet completed First Penance preparation will be following the the Grade 2 curriculum from October to January. You will find the calendar and details on the Grade 2 page.
  2. Students who have previously completed First Penance preparation will be participating in virtual catechism lessons from October to January, every Monday from 6:30 - 7:30 pm via Zoom starting October 18. Recordings of these virtual lessons will be available for those who were not able to attend the Monday virtual class.
Both these groups will be preparing for the sacrament of First Eucharist from February to May. Lessons will be every Wednesday evening starting in February. We will be alternating between in-person and virtual lessons.

Grades 4 & 5

Catechism students in Grades 4 & 5 will be learning about the bible and the story of our salvation using the GPS: God's Plan in Scripture program. Students have the option of choosing either in-person lessons or virtual lessons. Recordings of missed lessons can be accessed here starting Wednesday, October 13. 

Grade 6

 
Catechism students in Grade 6 will be preparing to receive the sacrament of Confirmation. Students have the option of choosing to go through the online lessons with their parents or with a catechist virtually, via Zoom.
